RISTUCCIA, Lidia (Cangemi), of Braintree and Harwich, MA, passed away on August 9th, 2018, with her family by her side. Lidia was born in Boston to Maria and Rosario Cangemi on November 28th, 1933. She was the beloved wife of the late John Andrew Ristuccia Jr., DMD. She is survived by her loving children Lita Ristuccia, Lauren (Paul) McGourty, John (Michele) Ristuccia III, Marina (Paul) Ristuccia McHugh, and Janine (Waclaw Anthony) Hojnoski, as well as her 14 grandchildren, Alexandra, Marina, Christopher, John IV, Carly, Siena, Claudia, Lida, John, Mark, Lidia, Rafael, Lily, and Abraham - the lights of her life. She leaves her caring sisters, Ginevra Cangemi and Norina Saviano, her sister- and brother-in-law Roberta and David Ristuccia, many nieces and nephews, and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by sisters Clara DaPrato and Iole Cangemi, and sister-in-law Claire MacDonald.Lidia was a true matriarch who imparted so many gifts to her family; she has passed on her love of cooking, family gatherings, music and dancing, and welcoming all she knew into her home with open arms, generosity, and sense of fun. She will be tremendously missed by every person who had the pleasure of knowing her, but most of all by her children and grandchildren who will treasure her loving spirit. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend memorial visiting hours on Thursday August 23rd from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington Street, Braintree. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 850 Washington Street, Braintree, on Friday August 24th at 10:30 AM.
