ALBANESE, Kathleen A. “Chick” (O’Brien), of Holbrook, passed away on July 26, 2018, after a courageous battle with a brain aneurysm, at the age of 70. Born in Boston, Kathy grew up in Holbrook and graduated from Holbrook High School, Class of 1965. She worked as an executive administrative assistant at Grossman’s for many years. Kathy was a passionate Bruins fan who also enjoyed cross stitching, ceramics, music, especially Bon Jovi and her beloved cats; however, her greatest joy came from the excitement she got from all her nieces and nephews. Kathy was the loving mother of Amanda “Mandy” M. Smith and her husband Paul, Deputy Fire Chief, Massport of Winthrop. Devoted sister of Marie Procopio and her husband Bob of Holbrook, Eddie O’Brien, Ret. Holbrook Fire Chief and his wife Kathy of Whitman, Jim O’Brien, Ret. Lieutenant Mass. State Police and his wife Elaine of E. Bridgewater and Bill O’Brien and his wife Sharon of Holbrook. Daughter of the late Edward and Kathleen (Cooney) O’Brien. Beloved “T.G’ to Tyler, Alex, Aaron and Allison. Cherished aunt of Jeremy, Deana, Katie, Sarah, David, Meaghan, Brendan, Timothy, Dylan, Maci-Kate and the late Josh. Adoring great aunt of Madyson, Charlotte, Zoey and Griffin. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St. (Rt. 37) Holbrook, until 9:30 AM on Monday, July 30th, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church, 153 So. Franklin St., Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday, July 29th from 3:00 - 7:00 PM. Burial in Union Cemetery, Holbrook.
