McSWEENEY, Matthew (“Matty”) of Braintree, entered in to heaven with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 7, 2018 at the age of 28. Matty courageously and fearlessly battled cancer for eleven years. Matty’s short twenty-eight years of life were filled with love, humor and an unrelenting positive attitude in the face of whatever struggles he was presented with. He touched the lives of everyone around him. He found his true love, golf, at age thirteen and never looked back. His raw talent and skill fueled by his passion led him into a career as a certified golf instructor and Pro Golfer. Matty had a personal style and grace that conveyed his cool unwavering approach to life. He lived each day like it was a gift and never missed an opportunity to love his family, encourage a friend, swing a club, hit the dance floor (he was darn good too), and enjoy the world around him. He brought light and joy to the lives of his family, friends and everyone he met, leaving an indelible impression on their hearts and spirits. Matty McSweeney will always be loved and remembered as the precious and devoted son of Maria Dangora McSweeney of Braintree and John M. McSweeney Jr. of Yarmouth Port. Loving and loyal brother of Mark J. McSweeney, his wife Lisa and adoring uncle of his twin nephews, Owen & Aiden of NH. Affectionate grandson of the late Frank S. Dangora Sr. and Phyllis Cuddy Dangora of Cohasset, and John M. McSweeney Sr. and MaryJane Wells McSweeney of Hyannis. Greatly adored nephew of Frank and Jennifer Dangora of Rockland, Dwayne and Gina Crosby of East Bridgewater, Tara Dangora and Barry MacWilliams of Holbrook, Adriano and Tabitha Prado of Hanson, Scott and Michelle Dangora of FL, Giacomo and Alanna Francioli of Italy, Dominic and Iman Dangora of OK, Richard, and Karen Noyes of Walpole, Joseph McSweeney of OK, and Gerard and Cheryl Dillenburg of IL. Amazing cousin of Taryn, Andrew, Alexis, William, Lauren, Dwayne Jr, Gabriella, John, Julia, Mark, Tristan, Sophia, Beckett, Ella, Scotty, Alessio, Julia, Eva and Giorgia, along with numerous other cousins that meant so much to Matty.
