LaFLEUR, Joseph C. Jr, in Brockton formerly of Avon and So. Boston, passed away May 27, 2018 after a long illness at the age of 91. Beloved son of the late Joseph C. and Anna A. (Tonley) LaFleur. Devoted brother of Frances Cole and Thomas LaFleur and his wife Linda all of Randolph, the late Robert LaFleur, Gerard LaFleur, Mary Pothier, and David LaFleur. Dear brother in law of Kay LaFleur of Townsend. Also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as his special cousin and longtime phone pal, Mary “Sister” Schofield of Weymouth. Joseph was born in Boston, grew up in So. Boston where he lived there for many years until moving to Avon. During WWII he served in the US Army Air Corp, in the Eighth Photo Recon Squadron. He worked as a drill Press Operator for Walworth Manufacturing Co., So. Boston and many years at April’s Market in Avon. He was a member of Frank M. Noyes VFW Post of Avon. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 N. Main St. Randolph until 9:30 AM on Friday followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Michael Church, Avon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 PM. Burial in Mass National Cemetery, Bourne.
