FASANO, Mildred B. “Millie” (Savino), longtime resident of Holbrook, passed away peacefully on May 24, 2018, after a brief illness, surrounded by loving family members. Born and raised in South Boston, Millie worked as a cosmetologist for Osco Drug stores for many years. She loved spending time talking with family and friends and had a compassionate heart for those in need. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping and traveling with her late husband and childhood sweetheart, John. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Millie will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Mildred was the beloved wife of the late John D. Fasano. Loving mother of David Fasano of Decatur, GA, John Fasano and his wife Elienai of Braintree, Nancy DiTocco McCarthy and her husband Ken of NC, Diane Smyth and her husband Pete of Attleboro and the late Norma Vining. Mother-in-law of David Vining of Andover and the late Mario DiTocco. Dear “Nonnie” of Bert Vining, Anna Burns, Christopher Vining, Daniel Vining, Peter Zakhary and Nicolas Fasano; and “Great Nonnie” of Griffin Burns, Tucker Burns, Craig Vining and Asher Vining. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 69 So. Franklin St. (RT 37), Holbrook, until 9:00 AM on Thursday, May 31st, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church, 153 So. Franklin St., Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday, May 30th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Burial in Union Cemetery, Holbrook.
