MANNING, Dorothy L. “Dotty” (Smith), of Randolph, formerly of So. Boston, passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep, after a long illness on May 19, 2018, at the age of 93. Born and raised in So. Boston, Dottie has been a resident of Randolph for the past 47 years. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a collections agent for Bank Boston for many years. Dottie was an avid Red Sox fan and was always the life of the party, however, spending time with her family and friends is what brought her the most joy. Dorothy was the wife of the late Walter Manning. Loving mother of Walter Manning of Franklin, Maureen Manning of Randolph and the late Leo Manning. Sister of the late Mary Steen, Francis “Buddy” Smith and Agnes Gilpin. Dear “Nana” of Scott Manning, Patricia McEvoy, Brian Manning, James Manning and Janelle Manning and “Great Nana” of Riley McEvoy, Shane McEvoy and Max Manning. Dear aunt of Dorothy MacAskill of Weymouth and cousin of Evelyn Green law of NH. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. At the request of the family, Funeral Services and Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dorothy’s name to the American Heart Association, 300 5th Street, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451.
