BROLIN, William Francis “Bill” of Randolph formerly of Hyde Park, passed away suddenly, after a long illness, on March 15, 2018, at the age of 90. Husband of the late Sophie M. (Myhal) Brolin. Loving father of Maureen Forknall, Evelyn Ferrara, William F. Brolin Jr. and his wife Laura, Robert M. Brolin and his wife Cheryl, Paula Brolin and Dorothy B. Brolin. Dear “Papa” to Julie Smith, Lisa Forknall, Kevin Brolin, Andrew Brolin and the late Eric Brolin and great grandfather of Leila Forknall and Logan Smith. Devoted brother of Maureen Eldridge, Elizabeth Anderson, Gerald Brolin and the late Malcolm Brolin Jr., Robert Brolin and John Brolin. Bill grew up in Hyde Park and graduated from Hyde Park High School , Class of 1944. He was a WWII US Navy Veteran and recipient of the WWII Victory Medal as well as the American Area Medal. Bill was an avid reader and enjoyed gardening, word puzzles and writing poetry. He was an avid Boston sports fan, especially the Bruins and Red Sox. A devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Bill will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main Street, (Rte 28) Randolph until 9:15 AM on Tuesday, March 20th, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Bernadette Church, 1031 No. Main Street, Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday, March 19th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
