RYAN, Peter E. “Pete”, of Upton, formerly of Randolph, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 81. Born and raised in Boston, Pete graduated from Cathedral High School. He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Pete was an Iron Worker with Local 7 for over 40 years, where he also sat on the executive board. While working as an Iron Worker, he attended Fisher Jr. College at night where he earned his Associate’s Degree. He was also part owner of S & R Tile in Randolph. He was an active member of the Randolph community, coaching Babe Ruth, St. Bernadette CYO basketball, serving as an officer for Pop Warner football, an Eagle Scout and a member of the ELKS golf league. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Pete will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Beloved husband for 60 years to Maureen (Kiley) Ryan. Loving father of Geralyn Meaney and her husband Joseph of Taunton, Christopher Ryan and his wife Theresa of Uxbridge, Dianne Cole and her husband Sean of CT, Kelly Marshall and her husband Kenneth of Upton, Kimberly LaFave and her husband Albert of CT and James Ryan and his wife Jennifer of CA. Son of the late Richard and Bertha (Bennett) Ryan. Dear “Papa” to Andrea, Jordan and Benjamin Meaney, Matthew and Sarah Ryan, Brandon and Lindsay Cole, Kristin and Ryan LeFave, Taylor and Victor Horton and Jerry and Courtney LeFave. “Great Papa” to Trevor, Tayiah and Brayden. Devoted brother of Brendan Ryan and his wife Arlene of Rockland, Vincent Ryan and his wife Kay of W. Roxbury and the late Richard Ryan. Brother-in-law of Gerard Kiley and his wife Mary of Onset. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No.Main St. (RT 28) Randolph, until 9:00 AM on Tuesday, February 20th, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Bernadette Church, 1031 No. Main St., Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday, February 19th, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph.
