O'BRIEN, Eleanor M. (Conroy), of Holbrook, formerly of Cambridge, passed away at home surrounded by family February 14, 2018, after a period of failing health at the age of 87. Ellie was beloved wife of the late William J. O’Brien, dear sister of the late Mary T. Black and Francis J. Conroy. Faithful daughter of the late John J Conroy (Castletownbere, Co Cork, Ireland) and Margaret M Coughlan (Rockchapel, Co Cork, Ireland), she was the devoted aunt of Black family nieces and nephews Robert, Stephen, John, Richard, Mary and Eleanor, and Conroy family nieces and nephews Ann, John, Francis, Mark, Margaret, Theresa and the late James. Ellie is survived by many beloved grandnieces and grandnephews. Ellie attended St Peter’s Elementary, Cambridge High and Latin School, and Chandler School for Women. She worked for many years as treasurer of Graphic Microfilm, Inc. She and her husband “My Bill” thoroughly enjoyed being with family and friends. A daily communicant, Ellie’s greatest love was of God and her parish communities. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 68 So. Franklin St., Holbrook MA 02343 until 10:15AM Monday followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00AM in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook, MA. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM. Burial will take place in Plain Street Cemetery, Braintree, MA 02184. Should friends desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to St. Joseph Church, 153 S. Franklin St., Holbrook, MA 02343.
