VAUGHAN, Marion A. (Dowling), of Braintree, formerly of So. Boston and Rockland, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2018, surrounded by her loving family, at the age of 89. Born and raised in Boston, Marion graduated from So. Boston High School. Marion worked as a waitress at the Howard Johnson’s restaurant for over 30 years. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting and was a gifted seamstress. Marion enjoyed spending time with her friends in the “Stitch & Bitch” Club. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Marion will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known her. Marion was the wife of the late Edward Vaughan. Loving mother of Maureen Clark and her husband Stephen of Braintree, Joanne Collupy and her husband Christopher of Braintree and the late Susan Witt. Sister of the late Arthur Dowling, George Dowling, Robert Dowling, Mary “Bea” Connolly and Dorothy “Dottie” Dilworth. Dear “Nanny” to Christy, Timothy, Brian, Abby, Lauria, Amanda, Stephanie, Katie and Gregory. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington St., Braintree, until 9:30 AM on Saturday, February 17th, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Braintree. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday, February 16th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
