WIGFALL, Samuel “Sam”, of Randolph, formerly Mt. Vernon, NY, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2018, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 91. Sam was born and raised in Cross, So Carolina. Prior to his retirement, he had worked as a truck driver and in the construction industry for many years. Sam proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. In his free time, Sam enjoyed fishing and playing pool. Sam is remembered with love by his wife Lillian (Best) Wigfall. Loving father of Deborah Wigfall-Dungee and her husband Gregory of VA, Cynthia Wigfall of Randolph and the late Samuel Wigfall, Jr. and his wife Sandra Wigfall-Welcome and Anthony K. Wigfall. He is survived by his brother of Joseph Pinckney of SC, Mary Whitten of GA and the late Roosevelt Wigfall. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation period on Friday, January 12th from 12:00 – 1:00 PM, immediately followed by a Funeral Service at 1:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (RT 28) Randolph. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sam’s name to Season’s Hospice, 597 Randolph Ave., Milton, MA 02186.
