WARNER, James P., of Holbrook, formerly of Dorchester, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2017, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 76. Born in and raised in Dorchester, Jim graduated from Boston Schools. He then entered the U.S. Army where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Jim worked for the U.S. Postal Service and retired from the No. Quincy Post Office as a Financial Clerk after 30 years of service. In his free time, he enjoyed bowling, cheering for all Boston sports teams and he was a longtime member of the South Shore Senior Softball League. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, Jim will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to have known him. Jim was the beloved husband of Janice M. (Higgins) Warner. Loving father of James Warner and his wife Jane of Clinton, Michael Warner and his wife Nicole of Weymouth and Michelle Vezina and her husband Shane of Dighton. Dear “Grandpa” of Christopher and Kieran Warner and Addison and Ella Vezina. Devoted brother of Ann Maniscalco and her husband Tom of Medford, Theresa Craven and her husband Brian of Wilmington and Ruth Horgan and her late husband Edmund of So. Boston. Also brother to the late Mary Melanson, Robert, John, Charles, Catherine Levy and Willard. Dear Grandpa of Christopher and Kieran Warner and Addison and Ella Vezina. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rt. 28) Randolph, until 9:00 AM on Friday, December 22nd, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Mary Church, Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday, December 21st, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. Burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in memory of James Warner to support cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O.
