KERSHAW, Edith A. “Edie” (Adams), of Randolph, formerly of Quincy, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on October 31, 2017 at the age of 96. Born and raised in North Quincy, Edith graduated from N Quincy High School and then later graduated from the Burdette Business College. For many years she worked as a secretary for Gilman Bros. in Boston and also for Cunard Cruise Lines. Edith had a passion for cooking, the theatre, movies, eating out and most of all travel. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and square-dancing. Lifelong Red Sox fan starting with ladies day games for a dime with her mother. She grew up at Wollaston Beach and later summered on Cape Cod. A talented seamstress, Edie made many stuffed monkeys over the years for the Trinity Episcopal Church in Randolph Christmas Fair, where she edited the newsletter and sang in choir. Edith was the beloved wife of Richard “Dick” Kershaw. Loving mother of Christina Palmer and her husband Bill of Easton and Charlie DelaFuente of San Antonio, TX. Sister of the Late Robert M. Adams and James F. Adams. Dear “Grandma” of Thomas, James and Timothy Palmer. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rt. 28) Randolph. Visiting hours Wednesday, November 8th from 4:00 -8:00 PM. Funeral Service Thursday, November 9th at 10:00 AM in the Trinity Episcopal Church, 120 No. Main St., Randolph. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Trinity Episcopal Church, 120 No. Main St., Randolph, MA 02368.
