CORSON, W. Kent, of Middleboro, formerly of Hanson and Holbrook, passed away on October 12, 2017, after a period of failing health at the age of 67. He was the son of the late Richard and Eleanor (Savini) Corson. Kent is survived by his beloved wife Gail A. (MacDonald) Corson and is the loving father of Marcy A. Neumeyer and her husband Michael of Weymouth and Nicole M. Farmer and her husband Michael of Brockton. He is the beloved “Grampy” of Alexis, Aaron, Allison, Ryan and Kyle. He was also the devoted brother of Joan DelPozzo and her husband Carl of ME, Marcia Corson of Brockton, his sister-in-law Donna Foley of FL and many nieces and nephews. Kent graduated from Holbrook High School in 1968 and then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served during the Vietnam War and earned a Bronze Star for his service. Kent was a long time employee of Bay State Gas, EnergyUSA Propane, and most recently a safety instructor at Eversource. He was a member of two bands-“Cranberry Lane” and “Overtime the Band” - that frequently played at Pilgrim Sands. Kent also shared his love of music by volunteering his time performing at various Veteran organizations and Senior centers. Most importantly, he loved to spend his time with his family and his summers on the Cape, as he was an avid boater. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Memorial Visiting Hours on Wednesday, October 18th from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the Cartwright Funeral Home, 419 No. Main St. (Rt. 28), Randolph, MA 02343. Family and friends will gather at the Funeral Home in Randolph on Thursday, October 19th at 9:45 AM for the procession to the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne MA for a Service at 11:15 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, Los Angeles Office, 1500 Rosecraws Way, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
