PERRONE, Alfred F. “Fred” “Mr. P.” of Plymouth formerly of Dorchester passed away peacefully from his battle with cancer on June 26, 2017 at the age of 70. He was the beloved husband of Ruth K. (Lemack) Perrone, the loving father of MyraBeth Hoban & her husband Paul of Wollaston Beach and Melanie Malinowski & her husband Robert of Norwell, and the Dear “Pop” of Shane Hoban, Rachel Hoban, Robert “Bobby” Malinowski, Jr., and Jacob Malinowski. Fred was also the Godfather of Kathy Goreham, Alyssa Lockwood, and Cheryl Cunningham. Devoted brother of Julia Dutton and her late husband Tom of NH and their daughter Nancy Dutton and her husband Andrew Mankin. Dear brother-in-law of Paula Johnson & her husband John of Holbrook and their children David Johnson his wife Bridget, their children Taylor and Paige, Stacy Cooper her husband Seth & their children Cameron and Joshua. He is also survived by many cousins and extended family. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary (Petruzzelli) Perrone. “Fred” graduated from Fitchburg State and received his Master’s Degree in Industrial Arts Education from Rhode Island College. Impacting the lives of hundreds of students, he was an Industrial Arts Teacher at Holbrook Junior Senior High School for 27 years and retired as the Technology Education Teacher at East Jr. High School, Brockton where he taught for 7 years. As a member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America, he was a ski instructor for 30 years in New Hampshire at Cannon Mt. and Bretton Woods. Sailing his wooden Friendship Sloop was one of his passions, so much so that he earned his Captain’s License. When he was not sailing or skiing, Fred rode his Harley as often as possible, making sure that he always went to Laconia in June. Reposing at the Cartwright Funeral Home, 68 So. Franklin St., Holbrook MA until 9:30 AM Friday, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Joseph Church, Holbrook. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Burial will take place in Sharon Memorial Park, Sharon. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Jimmy Fund.
